Let me introduce myself.

My name is Lieselotte Kleinhans. I am a publicly appointed and sworn translator for English and my native language is German. I studied English, Spanish and Economics at the Institut fuer Fremdsprachen und Auslandskunde (IFA) in Erlangen, Germany, and passed the state examination to become a state-certified translator. Following this, I was publicly appointed and sworn at the Landgericht Nuremberg - Fuerth. I am a member of the German translators' association, Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Uebersetzer (BDUE) Landesverband Bayern e. V., as well as a member of the translation community ProZ.com and the business network XING.

Spending some time in Great Britain and almost three years in Arizona, USA helped me to perfect my skills in the English language. At the same time, I could gain a deep insight into the American culture and the way of life in the USA. Thus, I am able to adapt my translations to the specific needs of the target group in terms of both, the cultural and the social context.

During my studies at the Universities of Frankfurt and Dortmund (intermediate diploma) and at the IFA, I gained profound knowledge in the field of Economics. The latter also included bilingual classes in Economics. In addition to that, I constantly broaden my skills through job-related research and professional literature, through the media and through specific seminars.
